A ‘Snapshot In Time'

Plant tissue analysis offers a precise measurement of the nutritional status of a plant at the time the sample was taken. When tissue testing is used in conjunction with a soil analysis, it can provide information on what nutrient levels are most critical and how best to correct them.

The value of tissue testing

  • Indicates the nutritional status of plants
  • Identifies deficiencies and toxicities before the plant exhibits physical symptoms
  • Offers information important for adjusting and fine-tuning product applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot specific problem areas
  • Provides a mechanism for optimizing yield quality and efficiency

Sampling Guide

Plant tissue analysis can be performed on leaf samples and/or petiole samles, and should be a routine part of every crop producer's nutrient management program.  Remember, a good plant analysis relies on proper sample collection.
