AgSourceDM & DairyHand

If you are looking for an economical yet powerful herd management program that lets you take your herd information everywhere, check out AgSource's revamped AgSourceDM and DairyHand. Both of these programs are Internet based. That means the program and your herd data can be accessed from any PC, at any location. All you need is an Internet connection to access and modify your herd information. There is nothing to install on your computer. You don't have to worry about backing up your data. Your herd information is secure on the AgSource server. Program enhancements and updates are done automatically and are at no cost to you.

AgSourceDM uses your Internet browser. It has the rare combination of being easy to use, yet can generate a myriad of different reports. Test day is much simpler because your Field Technician can seamlessly import your herd data from AgSourceDM into their computer. That means less chance for data entry errors and more accurate management information.

The Main Menu is broken out in categories for Data Entry, Reports and Graphs and Program Settings. The menu is well organized and takes you right where you want to go.

Data entry is done through the use of Cow Pages. These Cow Pages allow users to easily select and view information.

Users can opt for just using AgSourceDM or they can also use the DairyHand application and do data entry and cow lookups on any handheld device with Internet capability; such as a Blackberry or iPhone. With DairyHand, users can have a complete herd check information sheet on their phone and as the veterinarian provides information, it can be entered and transmitted directly to AgSource via the Internet connection.

If you notice a cow in heat, you can grab your phone out of your pocket and look up how many days in milk she is, check her reproductive history and decide whether or not to have her bred. Not only can you look up individual cow histories, you can enter calvings, breeding dates, health events and a host of other items cowside and send it over a wireless Internet connection to AgSource.

Multiple employees can each have their own individual wireless units with DairyHand software. They can each access the herd's database, enter event data and look up individual cow histories.

cowcard72.jpgCombining simplicity, practicality, support by AgSource staff and an economical monthly fee, AgSourceDM and DairyHand are ideal for all sized dairy operations. The programs are available exclusively for dairy operators that process their DHI information with AgSource.

AgSourceDM and DairyHand are available for a no cost, no risk 30 day trial period using your own herd's database.

After the 30 day trial, if you decide to continue using the programs, there is a one time $50 setup fee. The monthly charge is $25 and is added onto your regular DHI bill. There is no contract to sign and you can discontinue using the programs at any time.
