Nutrient Management Plans

(NMP)
Due to environmental concerns and regulations farmers are being encouraged and/or required to implement nutrient management plans on their farm operations. These plans continue to become more and more complex as regulations have been implemented over the last few years. AgSource is in a unique position to assist the grower with soil testing fields and using the results to create a NMP for the operation. A sound NMP will allow growers to meet environmental regulations while utilizing nutrients from manure or commercial sources to protect the environment and maximize profitability of their operation. Our experienced staff can create a NMP that is tailored to the individual operation.

Components of NMP developed by AgSource:

  1. Narrative
  2. Field Maps
  3. Nutrient Spreading Plan
  4. Restriction Maps
  5. Manure Spreader Calibration/Manure Equivalency Chart
  6. Nutrient Management Plan
  7. Soil Testing
  8. Manure Testing
  9. 590 NMP Assessment
  10. Emergency Information
  11. Record Keeping Logs
