The Food and Environmental Laboratories test a variety of dairy products including cheese, whey permeate, powdered product and butter.  Non-dairy products are tested, as well.  AgSource also works with customers to develop HACCP plans and testing requirements.

Analytical testing options include:

  • % Protein, Kjeldahl
  • Acid Degree Value (ADV)
  • Acidity, Titratable
  • Ash
  • Babcock Fat
  • % Moisture/% Solids (Oven)
  • % Salt
  • pH (Direct Probe)

Microbiological testing options include:

  • Coliform Count, Total
  • E. coli/Coliform Count
  • Enterococcus Count
  • Heterofermentative Lactobacillus Count (MPN)
  • Standard Plate Count
  • Thermophilic Bacteria
  • Total Lactic Acid Bacteria Count

Pathogen testing options include:

  • E. coli O157:H7
  • Listeria
  • Salmonella
  • Staphylococcus aureus
