AGSOURCE AWARDS NEAL LANGJAHR MEMORIAL AWARD
AgSource Cooperative Services recognized Ron Mitchell as the 2009 recipient of the Neal Langjahr Memorial Award. The award recognizes outstanding managerial service to the cooperative.
Mitchell has over 40 years of DHI experience beginning his career with DHIA in 1968. In addition to his managerial duties, Mitchell has been a dedicated Field Technician. Monroe County DHIA services 126 herds and 12,321 cows.
Annette Trescher, President, Monroe County DHIA President remarked, "Accuracy in Monroe County is of utmost importance to Ron and the rest of the employees. For those that don't know, Ron's a perfectionist and does not tolerate half a job." Trescher also stated, "I feel that Ron deserves this recognition because he's one of the most dedicated managers I've ever been involved with. In today's dairy industry with all the rapid changes, consistency and some sort of continuity are very important and Ron exemplifies all this and more."
Ron is involved in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cashton and First Congregational Church in Leon and heads up the food line coordination at the Monroe County Dairy Breakfast.
