AgSource INTRODUCING IMPROVED Udder Health Management PACKAGE

Verona, Wis. - World Dairy Expo visitors can get an early preview of AgSource's new Udder Health Management Package.   The new reports have been designed to improve a user's ability to quickly see their herd's udder health status with a brand new and more accurate infection categorization protocol that is color coded throughout the reports. The information allows AgSource members and their consultants to have instant access to critical information for making decisions on herd health.

The report is an extensive update of the cooperative's existing Udder Health Management Package and is designed to complement AgSource's Fresh Cow Summary.  Both reports were developed with the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison and its Food Animal Production Medicine Team, led by Dr. Nigel Cook and Dr. Ken Nordlund.

"No other testing organization or on-farm computer program delivers the depth of analysis and summarization that has been achieved in the new reports" stated Dr. Nigel Cook. "AgSource stores data by test date - so the new infection rates that are reported 12 months ago are the actual new infection rates that occurred at that time. This allows the user to determine progress over time far more accurately."

World Dairy Expo visitors can learn more about the new UHM package at AgSource's exhibit.  Reports will be available exclusively to AgSource members beginning in January.

AgSource, headquartered in Verona, Wis., is a subsidiary of Cooperative Resources International and a member-owned cooperative that provides agricultural testing and management information services to nearly 5,500 members with seven locations throughout the Midwest and Idaho.
